How my journey began

Hi there and welcome!

My name is Chelsea Blackmore and I am the CEO at KootsRoots. I was born and raised in Creston, BC. I am a small town girl with big city dreams and so I left my home town with a courageous idea and little knowledge on how to turn it into a reality! I still don’t know exactly what I’m doing but here I am, rolling with the punches and pushing full steam ahead up a gigantic mountain toward an absolutely exhilarating land of the unknown.

I registered KootsRoots in 2019 while still living in Creston, with hopes of making my vision of being an essential part of several amazing small businesses coming together to create one extraordinary, exciting, local establishment. As push came to shove, the stars were not aligning for me at that time… I am employed as an operator at Teck Coal in Elkford, BC. currently on maternity leave that seems to be flying by all too quickly and coming to an end as my beautiful baby girl reaches her first birthday mid May.

Today I am on this journey, with a new passion and hunger to make it through. To connect with our amazing community of talent and share a love of the arts and crafts so many of us have.

Please stop by, reach out and join me on this journey.

Sincere and warm regards, -Chelsea
